About Coach House

For 30 years, the Coach House Restaurant & Diner Hackensack has focused on serving excellent food, providing a comfortable ambiance, and a friendly staff. Best of all, made to order dishes are served in abundant portions at diner prices. The prices here are affordable and the atmosphere welcoming.

There is ample parking on the Coach House property. The diner is accessible from Hackensack Avenue and Route 4.

A complimentary salad bar containing fresh lettuce, an array of toppings including bacon, beans, sunflower seeds, and vegetables, six dressings, the diner's famous banana bread and dinner rolls, stuffed grape leaves, and fruit, is offered during lunch and dinner.

The menu is enormous, even by diner standards. There are 12 kinds of burgers, 30 seafood dishes, and 11 pasta dishes.

A full bar serves an array of wines, beers, and cocktails.

The Coach House Restaurant & Diner is steps away from The Shops at Riverside, Bergen County's premiere indoor shopping destination and Continental Plaza. It is minutes from the Bergen Town Center and Garden State Plaza.

The Coach House Diner Hackensack is owned and operated by George and Vivien Pappas who can be found mingling with customers and overseeing operations seven days a week.

Patrons come in as customers and leave as friends.

Although the Coach House Diner may be one of the largest diners in Bergen County with 250 seats, its atmosphere is warm and inviting.



The New Jersey Jewish Standard, the Jewish voice of northern New Jersey, has named the Coach House Diner in Hackensack the best diner and has awarded it for having the best salad bar in Bergen County.
